Supercar Album ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
To provide the core features of the App (leaderboards, car spotting, and social interaction), we collect the following:
Account Information:
When you sign up, we collect your email address, username, and display name via Supabase Auth.
Profile Information:
You may optionally provide additional details such as your country of residence. This information is user-defined and used for profile display and community features.
User Content & Media:
This includes photos of vehicles you upload. These photos are collected and shared with third-party providers for processing as described in Section 3.
Point & Activity History:
We track your point activity (including base points, bonuses, and milestones) to maintain leaderboard rankings and progression systems.
Location Information:
We do not collect GPS or precise location data. Any location-based features are based on user input and not background tracking.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data to:
- Maintain and update Global and Friends Leaderboards
- Generate in-app “Nudge” notifications for milestones and rank changes
- Verify and manage submitted car sightings
- Display user profiles within the app
- Improve and expand our automotive database
3. Artificial Intelligence & Image Processing
To automate the identification of car sightings and maintain the integrity of our leaderboard, Supercar Album utilizes third-party Artificial Intelligence (AI) services.
Processing Workflow:
When you upload a car sighting, your photo and selected location category are collected and shared with Salesforce BLIP-2 to determine if the image contains a vehicle. If verified, the data may be shared with Google Gemini for detailed analysis of the make, model, and location category.
Transient API Calls:
Data shared with these providers is transmitted via transient API calls for the purpose of app functionality. This means your photos are processed in real-time to generate automotive details and are not stored permanently by these third-party AI providers, nor are they used by these providers to train their machine learning models.
Human-in-the-Loop:
AI-generated suggestions may be reviewed by human "Verifiers" within the Supercar Album community to ensure accuracy.
4. Data Sharing and Visibility
Public Profile:
Your username, display name, country (if provided), total points, rank, and submitted sightings may be visible to other users.
Photo & Media Policy:
In accordance with Google Play Data Safety requirements, we disclose that photos uploaded by the user are collected and shared with external service providers (Google Cloud and Salesforce) solely for image analysis and vehicle identification features.
Third-Party Services:
We use Supabase for authentication and data storage. AI processing is conducted via Salesforce and Google Cloud as described in Section 3.
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not track users across third-party apps or websites for advertising.
External Links:
The App may include links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Account Deletion:
You can delete your account at any time. This removes your personal data from active systems.
Photo Retention:
Photos incorporated into the App’s vehicle database may remain in anonymised form to maintain the historical record of car sightings.
6. Children’s Privacy
Supercar Album is not intended for children under 13. If such data is identified, it will be deleted promptly.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data.
